Places to visit

The Saint Maria's church

The Saint Maria's church was announced as a cultural interest property in 1973 and it is the most relevant and important monument of the town of Huescar and probably the whole region. In it the gothic and baroque styles are combined.

Carlos III's canal
Carlos III’s canal was also announced as a cultural interest property but in 1982. It became a colossal example of the water control used by the Huecar’s region inhabitants. This project remains unfinished because it was very ambitious and it would have cost a lot of money, work and time.

The seguereña’s sheep

It is a race of sheep that are farmed in Huescar, more than 200.000 specimens are sold every year in Huescar overall to African countries. They are known for their good taste and high quality. The profits for the sale of these animals are around 12 million Euros and each one of these specimens cost 60 Euros.
